Engineering Manager

About the role

Pariveda is opening a new office in Bogotá and is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of cloud‑based enterprise applications. The role involves designing, developing and delivering solutions while collaborating with US‑based colleagues and directly interacting with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead small teams of Pariveda employees and manage relationships with multiple clients across various industries.
• Oversee the full software development life cycle, including estimation, sprint planning, architecture, development, testing, risk management and delivery.
• Drive the development of custom web and mobile applications, cloud solutions on Azure and AWS, data‑driven solutions, IoT, machine learning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AI tools strategically to enhance client solutions while ensuring responsible and ethical AI practices.
• Mentor junior colleagues, set career development goals and conduct performance reviews.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software development experience with a background in technical or management consulting.
• Proven project management experience, including planning, estimation, execution and risk management.
• Experience architecting complex technical solutions and presenting them to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong leadership in guiding technical teams and a passion for coaching and mentoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; fluency in English; authorized to work in Colombia.
