Finance Manager – Statutory Accounting & Tax

About the role

Amgen is seeking a Finance Manager to lead local statutory accounting, tax compliance, and period‑end close activities. This role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Amgen policies while collaborating with local stakeholders, global finance teams, and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Own local statutory accounting and tax deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review tax calculations and approve tax payments prepared by external providers.
• Reconcile tax reports to the General Ledger and monitor recoverable/refund positions.
• Oversee payroll accounting in coordination with HR.
• Support internal control certification (IICC) and local control requirements.
• Prepare and/or review statutory financial statements per local GAAP and Amgen policies.
• Support month‑end close, reconciliations, statutory audits, and key stakeholder interactions.
• Assist with cash flow, intercompany activities, accruals, and ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Associate’s degree or high school diploma with the corresponding years of experience in accounting/finance with statutory and tax exposure.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance with statutory and tax exposure (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
