Forward Deployed Engineer (Python & AI) – Remote (Colombia)

About the role

FullStack is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise clients, identify AI opportunities, design and ship agentic systems, and ensure they operate reliably in production. This remote position focuses on Python‑centric AI solutions for regulated industries and Fortune 500 companies.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery workshops with business, data, and engineering stakeholders to separate genuine AI problems from workflow issues.
• Architect end‑to‑end agentic systems, including retrieval pipelines, embeddings, hybrid search, knowledge graphs, and human‑in‑the‑loop safeguards.
• Build and ship production‑ready agents, retrieval services, and evaluation tooling, managing CI/CD, prompt versioning, and automated testing.
• Own Day‑2 operations: observability, cost and latency management, drift detection, and handoff to client teams.
• Present designs and impact metrics to C‑level leaders and support pre‑sales scoping when needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a mainstream stack (Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Java, C#/.NET, or Go).
• 1–4 years delivering production‑grade agentic AI solutions, LLM workflows, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation architectures.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven experience leading client‑facing discovery calls and translating business problems into technical specifications.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with AI developer tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or OpenAI Codex.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, N8N, or Model Context Protocol (MCP) and LLM APIs.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, event‑driven architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design retrieval pipelines (chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, reranking) and implement evaluation harnesses.
