About the role

Deel is building Akai, an AI‑driven agent platform that automates the manual, repetitive work of global operations teams. As a Founding Forward‑Deployed Engineer you will join a small, scrappy team inside Deel and help shape the product from day one, working closely with operations, finance, and engineering stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑powered automation solutions that replace manual, non‑API workflows.
• Collaborate with operations teams to understand pain points and translate them into reliable, scalable software agents.
• Build integrations that interact with Deel’s complex financial and payroll infrastructure across 170+ countries.
• Iterate quickly in a fast‑moving environment, delivering functional prototypes and production‑ready features.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the Akai platform.
