Freelance Material Scientist (Python) – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Material Scientist with strong Python skills to help design, test and improve AI systems. The role involves creating realistic material engineering problems that require computational solutions and verifying them using standard engineering libraries.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material engineering problems that simulate real engineering workflows.
• Create Python‑based problems that involve numerical methods, iterative solutions and system optimization.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and reflect practical engineering constraints.
• Base problem statements on real research challenges or practical applications.
• Verify solutions using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas and SciPy.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research or teaching experience in material engineering.
• Strong written English (C1 level or higher).
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.

What we offer
