Full Stack Developer (Shopify/Hydrogen)

About the role

We are a US‑based e‑commerce retailer looking for a pragmatic Full Stack Developer to bridge the gap between our custom headless architecture and standard Shopify expectations. The role is fully remote for candidates in LATAM and follows an East Coast 9‑5 schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom Shopify Hydrogen storefronts using React Router, implementing complex commerce features and headless integrations.
• Create responsive UIs with HTML, CSS, and modern React while owning frontend performance.
• Manage migrations from legacy Shopify Liquid and Django frontends to Hydrogen, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
• Extend and maintain Python/Django code that powers GraphQL API integrations between Shopify and internal ERP/PIM/CRM systems.
• Develop custom middleware and integrations for features that do not work out‑of‑the‑box (e.g., feed generators, Algolia re‑indexing).
• Maintain and enhance the monolithic Django codebase without breaking existing functionality.
• Configure software‑defined infrastructure, build CI/CD pipelines, and automate releases to Oxygen or similar edge platforms.
• Translate ambiguous business requests into technical solutions, escalating architectural discussions when needed.
• Communicate technical constraints clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

• Strong pragmatic mindset with the ability to decide when to build a solution versus escalating for architectural review.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical details to non‑technical teams.
• Experience working in fast‑paced e‑commerce environments with headless architectures.
