Full Stack Engineer - Java Spring Boot & Angular

About the role

AgileEngine, an Inc. 5000 company, is looking for a Full Stack Developer to build backend services with Java and Spring Boot, support the Angular frontend and help move the architecture toward domain-driven design. The role is mostly backend focused, with about 70-80% of time spent on backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, keeping the UI connected to backend logic.
• Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs to a domain-driven structure.
• Architect RESTful APIs that use proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns instead of legacy RPC styles.
• Work in cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience with advanced Java (Spring Boot) and a solid working knowledge of Angular.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented design and software design patterns.
• Deep experience building and consuming RESTful services.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and JPA/Hibernate, including complex SQL and high-transactional platforms; lack of this will lead to rejection.
• Upper-intermediate English.
• Nice to have: spec-driven development, loyalty or fintech domain experience, AWS/Azure and Docker, Jenkins or GitLab CI, and refactoring legacy code into DDD.
