Full-Stack Engineer (Mid-Level) - Remote Colombia or Mexico

About the role

A remote Full-Stack Engineer is needed to design, build and run production applications on Microsoft Azure, from APIs and data to the web interfaces used by clients. Much of the work starts with prototypes and AI-assisted builds, which you will turn into secure, tested, observable systems that scale, working with AI/ML engineers, product and project managers, CX designers and operations teams. Working hours are aligned with EST business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Build backend services: develop APIs and services with clear boundaries, automated tests and code review.
• Build frontend applications: client portals, internal consoles, admin screens and dashboards.
• Take prototypes to production: review AI-generated and prototype codebases and prepare them for real users.
• Integrate AI services, including real-time features.
• Run applications on Azure: manage infrastructure as code and CI/CD across development, staging and production.
• Connect third-party systems such as CRMs and ticketing tools.
• Maintain reliability and observability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerts and on-call rotation.
• Protect data: authentication, multi-tenant isolation, secure secrets management and safe handling of personal data.
• Document solutions so other engineers can work effectively.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience building and running production web applications, backend and frontend.
• At least 2 years of experience building applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong TypeScript, Node.js and React skills, with working knowledge of Python for AI/ML services.
• Experience designing and integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, and with relational and NoSQL databases, caching and queues.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, including LLM providers, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Track record of turning prototypes or AI-generated code into stable production applications.
• Professional written and spoken English and Spanish; based in Colombia or Mexico with the right to work there.

Required skills

• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Azure Static Web Apps or Azure App Service.
• Backend: Node.js, Python, Azure App Service, Container Apps and Functions.
• Data: PostgreSQL or Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Redis, Blob Storage.
• Identity and security: Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, RBAC, Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Delivery: Docker, Azure Container Registry, Bicep or Terraform, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Nice to have: Azure certifications, C# and .NET, Azure OpenAI, AKS, LLM patterns (function calling, RAG), Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Zendesk, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and knowledge of Mexico's LFPDPPP or Colombia's Ley 1581.
