Full Stack Software Engineer – Backend Focus

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to join the Unified CMS team. You will work on designing, building and maintaining modern web services and content experiences for a global client base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and GraphQL/gRPC integrations.
• Develop React‑based UI components and content blocks for Unified CMS experiences.
• Implement Server‑Side Rendering and Static Site Generation with Next.js.
• Create and manage content models, schemas and structures within Contentstack.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and troubleshoot complex data flows.
• Support personalization initiatives and A/B testing functionality.
• Develop and execute unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing strategies.
• Participate in Git‑based workflows, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity.

Required profile

• More than a year of relevant software engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of programming concepts, software design and development principles.

Required skills

• Advanced JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Advanced Node.js and React.js.
• Next.js or similar SSR frameworks.
• REST API development.
• GraphQL or gRPC.
• AI‑assisted development tools.
• Testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library.
