Full-Stack Web Developer (Remote, US Clients)

About the role

Bolder Apps is a product development studio partnering with US-based startups and companies to build and scale digital products, with a focus on AI-powered development and engineering team augmentation. It is hiring a full-stack web developer to build and ship web products for US clients, owning features end to end, from database and API to the React interface users touch. The stack is React and Next.js on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, with AI coding tools used every day.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features, from data model and API through to the React and Next.js interface
• Design and maintain backend services and APIs in Node.js, including auth, integrations, background jobs and database work
• Build fast, accessible, responsive frontends in React and Next.js, including server rendering and routing
• Turn product briefs and designs into working software and push back early on scope or technical approach
• Use AI coding tools, then review, test and own every line before production
• Keep code clean, tested and documented; deploy, monitor and fix production issues
• Work directly with PMs, designers and US clients on estimates, trade-offs and launch risk

Required profile

• 3+ years of production web development writing both backend and frontend, with shipped products
• Fluent English (C1 or above) for client calls and written updates
• Available through roughly 5 PM EST for live client coordination
• Nice to have: agency or multi-client experience, cloud/hosting experience (Vercel, AWS), Postgres/Prisma/Supabase, and some React Native exposure

Required skills

• React and Next.js; TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Node.js or another backend language with a clear path to Node.js
• API design, relational databases, authentication and third-party integrations
• Git, code review, testing and production deploys
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT
