General Accountant

About the role

Cloudstaff is seeking a General Accountant to support its property management and business accounting functions. This remote, night‑shift position is based in Colombia and offers the chance to work with a leading outsourcing company that values professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Process property management invoices and bills.
• Perform daily rental reconciliations and adjustments.
• Prepare weekly, mid‑month and end‑of‑month disbursements for landlords and tradespeople.
• Manage general business accounts using Xero.
• Calculate and process staff wages and related payroll entries in Xero.
• Prepare weekly creditor disbursements.
• Record staff leave and sick entitlements on a fortnightly basis.
• Daily reconciliation of trust accounts for property management and sales.
• Order compliance invoices such as smoke‑alarm certificates.
• Oversee new tenancy lease start dates and ensure correct financial charges.
• Handle additional accounting tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Confidence in managing bank feeds, reconciliations, invoicing, payroll, and reporting within Xero.
