Head of Collections – Medellín, Colombia

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Collections to build and lead the collections function for Aventus Group in Medellín, Colombia. The role will shape the strategy, processes and team that drive debt recovery for our consumer‑finance portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the collections strategy for the Colombian market.
• Recruit, train and manage a high‑performing collections team.
• Define KPIs, performance tracking systems and monitor overdue portfolios.
• Collaborate with IT to implement automation tools and improve recovery efficiency.
• Manage external vendors and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Solid experience in collections or debt recovery within consumer finance or PDL.
• Proven leadership experience managing collections teams.
• Strong understanding of DPD, roll rates and recovery metrics.
• Experience across soft, hard and legal collections.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on KPI‑driven results.
• Advanced English (spoken and written) – mandatory.
