Internal Audit Business Partner

About the role

The Internal Audit Business Partner works within the Internal Audit team and partners with the business to give independent, objective assurance to senior stakeholders and the Audit and Risk Committee on the effectiveness of control and governance processes. The role is based in an office setting with a hybrid arrangement, and requires liaison with a global stakeholder base.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a portfolio of audits and support initiatives that assess and improve controls across core financial and operational processes.
• Plan, perform and report on audit activities across the full lifecycle, including follow-up of management's committed audit actions.
• Supervise and review the work of others where additional resources are assigned, and complete more complex testing.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Group Insurance, Internal Controls and Compliance teams to provide coordinated assurance.
• Travel to other Convatec locations globally, mostly on a self-defined schedule, with an estimated 10-30% travel depending on assignments; most trips include overnight travel.

Required profile

• Significant experience and/or a recognised professional qualification in financial and operational processes.
• A recognised finance or business qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MIIA, MBA).
• Experience leading value-adding risk assurance reviews in a listed business with global operations, or within a professional audit or services firm.
• Knowledge of finance and operational processes supporting a medical technology provider in the chronic care market, including a global shared services environment.
• Clear communication, presentation and report writing style, and the ability to influence finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• English speaking and reading required; additional languages relevant to Convatec's focus markets and manufacturing locations are an advantage.

Required skills

• Audit techniques such as process analysis, data analytics and root cause analysis.
• Use of safety equipment in a controlled manufacturing facility, which is provided.
