Junior Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join a Fortune 100 US‑based company on a long‑term remote basis. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, cleansing data from multiple field sources, and supporting real‑time analytics for store operations and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
• Cleanse, transform and validate data from diverse field sources to improve data quality.
• Design and support data warehousing solutions and real‑time streaming workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional data teams to optimise processes and handle enhancement requests.
• Implement and manage AWS services such as SQS, Kinesis, EventBridge, S3 and Lambda.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including writing queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and real‑time streaming data.
• Familiarity with ETL design and data pipeline construction.
• Practical experience using AWS services.
