Junior Data Engineer

About the role

Sigmoid is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join its growing data‑driven team. You will work on building and supporting modern data architectures for Fortune 500 clients, primarily coding in Python, Java or Scala and collaborating with client‑facing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and APIs using technologies such as Spark, Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Automate data extraction, transformation and loading jobs and ensure they are production‑ready.
• Support client applications, integrate data sources and troubleshoot issues in a distributed environment.
• Collaborate daily with customers to translate strategic requirements into technical solutions.
• Stay current with emerging big‑data and cloud technologies to deliver optimal ROI.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (2024‑2025) or early‑career professional with a Computer Science or related degree.
• Strong programming fundamentals and experience with object‑oriented languages.
• Self‑starter able to learn new concepts quickly and work independently.
• Analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to problem solving.
