Junior Network Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Network Engineer in the NOC, you will protect cloud‑native network and security operations for global enterprises. This full‑time, remote position offers international exposure, meaningful operational impact, and a career path within a cybersecurity‑as‑a‑service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support 24/7/365 NOC operations and ensure Cato production system uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues, including last‑mile concerns.
• Engage with internal teams, customers, and third‑party providers to diagnose and communicate service status.
• Monitor system health, mitigate outages, and prepare escalations for the engineering team.
• Contribute to the growth of the NOC team by training and sharing knowledge.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in NOC, support engineering, IT system administration, or network operations.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and on‑call support as needed.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with globally dispersed, cross‑cultural teams.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, proxy servers).
• Experience with ISP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, HTTP/HTTPS.
• Ability to read application logs and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting of production‑grade network issues.
• Familiarity with cloud or SaaS technology providers and security protocols.
