Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

EPAM is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate a high‑performance Perforce ecosystem and AWS infrastructure for a global game development team. You will provide technical leadership, ensure reliability and security, and mentor a team of engineers across distributed locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for an enterprise‑grade Perforce architecture supporting distributed teams.
• Architect, deploy and manage secure AWS infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs and firewall/WAF/DDoS controls.
• Lead integration of Perforce with build systems and CI/CD pipelines, establishing high‑availability and performance standards.
• Set and enforce SLAs, operational standards, and security controls across cloud and tooling environments.
• Implement organization‑wide monitoring, logging and alerting frameworks and proactively resolve infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to DevOps engineers, fostering best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for global teams and vendors, ensuring stable development workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering or systems administration, preferably in the gaming industry.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Deep expertise in Perforce administration in distributed environments, including replication, scaling and performance tuning.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS networking and security services.
