Legal Advisor – LATAM Corporate Law

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Advisor to provide comprehensive corporate legal support across Latin America. The role involves managing mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, contracts, intellectual property, labor matters, and the governance of legal entities in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on structuring, negotiating and executing corporate transactions such as M&A and joint ventures.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts to protect company interests.
• Ensure compliance with local and international laws and keep internal policies up to date.
• Oversee formation, compliance and governance of legal entities across LATAM.
• Represent the company in legal or arbitration proceedings and third‑party negotiations.
• Coordinate external counsel and provide ongoing corporate governance advice.
• Manage intellectual property portfolios, including patents, trademarks and copyrights.
• Support labor law and HR matters, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Law degree, preferably specialized in Corporate Law.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar corporate or law‑firm role.
• Proven track record in M&A, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing legal entities in LATAM.
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); Portuguese is a plus.
