Legal Business Partner Manager – Latin America

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Legal Business Partner Manager to join its Global Legal Organization for Innovative Medicine in Latin America North. Based in Bogotá, the role supports business operations in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, providing in‑house counsel and strategic legal guidance across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on private and public commercial contracts, public tenders, competition, employment, corporate, health regulations and related legal areas.
• Support local Health Care Compliance, Privacy, Quality, Finance, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Market Access functions, ensuring adherence to the Code of Business Conduct and corporate policies.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts such as distribution and sales agreements.
• Prepare corporate minutes, board resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate documents.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, providing legal due diligence and integration support.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal guidance to employees and deliver training on competition law, anti‑corruption and public procurement.
• Manage relationships with external parties, including regulators, outside counsel and public authorities, and oversee outside‑counsel budgets.

Required profile

• Law degree with a valid license to practice in Colombia.
• Significant experience as an in‑house counsel or legal business partner, preferably within a multinational corporation.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex commercial transactions and regulatory matters in Latin America.
• Strong understanding of competition, employment, corporate, health and privacy law.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
