Level 1 SOC Analyst – Cyber Security

About the role

Inchcape is looking for a Level 1 SOC Analyst to join its Cyber Security team within the Digital Delivery Centres. You will monitor, analyse and respond to security alerts, working closely with senior analysts to protect the organisation from evolving threats.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and analyse security alerts using SOC tools and platforms.
• Respond to incidents, escalating according to defined SLAs and severity levels.
• Perform initial threat analysis, identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and support containment, eradication and recovery activities.
• Collaborate with L2 analysts, the SOC Lead and resolver teams on complex investigations.
• Document incidents clearly, including root cause, actions taken and recommendations.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center or a similar cybersecurity role.
• Hands‑on experience with incident detection, investigation and response.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, logs, alerts and core security concepts.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence, data classification and vulnerability concepts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear incident reports.
