Litigation Specialist - Personal Injury (Bilingual)

About the role

A personal injury law firm in Florida is looking for a bilingual Litigation Specialist to act as its research and drafting engine. You will run the legal research behind the firm's positions and produce first drafts of the documents filed, which are then reviewed, approved and signed by a Florida-licensed attorney. This is an analytical role, not a document production role.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze each file against the law, identify available claims, elements, evidence, likely defenses and weaknesses in the firm's position
• Draft complaints, motions, memoranda, responses, oppositions and proposed orders
• Draft written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production and admission) and responses and objections
• Research the law, prepare research memoranda and verify authorities are real, correctly cited and still good law
• Calendar litigation deadlines, circulate deadline reports and escalate risks such as deadlines at risk or statute of limitations issues
• Prepare deposition summaries, medical chronologies and record digests, and keep the litigation file current in the case management system
• Use the firm's approved AI tools following confidentiality protocols, and verify every filing before it reaches an attorney

Required profile

• Law degree with a license to practice in your own country, or at least 3 years as a litigation paralegal
• Litigation experience with demonstrated drafting of complaints, motions, responses and written discovery
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with professional-level written English
• Meticulous attention to detail and discipline to check your own work
• Ability to work as an independent contractor in your own country, or willingness to register before starting
• Full availability during the coverage window, private workspace, personal computer and stable internet

Required skills

• Legal research and application of the law to facts
• Case management platform or CRM (Filevine preferred; Litify, Clio, Smart Advocate, Needles or Salesforce accepted)
• Working fluency with AI drafting tools (Claude or ChatGPT; CoCounsel Legal preferred)
• Understanding of confidentiality and privilege

Preferred: U.S. personal injury litigation experience, Florida practice experience, and experience supporting a U.S. firm remotely. Schedule Monday to Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. EST, 100% remote. Apply through the firm's application form.
