Logistics Officer

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Logistics Officer to support the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project in Bogotá, Colombia. The role ensures that all logistics activities comply with organizational policies and donor regulations, enabling efficient delivery of health supplies and services in resource‑scarce and insecure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement standard protocols for procurement, warehouse management, and commodity dispatch, with a focus on pharmaceutical and medical equipment supply chains.
• Assess operational needs, establish and manage facilities, office spaces, warehousing, and critical infrastructure during emergencies.
• Determine transportation requirements, secure assets, and oversee fleet allocation, maintenance, fuel management, and driver coordination.
• Maintain asset and inventory registries at headquarters and field sites, ensuring proper allocation, maintenance, and disposal in line with donor regulations.
• Document all logistics and procurement activities to meet USG export compliance and local import/customs regulations.
• Collaborate with headquarters support departments to identify process bottlenecks and develop solutions for more timely and accountable operations.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or procurement within international development or humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work in high‑risk, low‑resource settings and manage multiple operational priorities.
• Strong analytical skills to assess operational gaps and design effective logistics solutions.
