Mid Project Manager – Supply Chain & Procurement (Remote)

About the role

Ascendion is seeking a Mid Project Manager or Project Coordinator to lead supply chain and procurement projects remotely from Colombia. This 6‑month contract role involves managing project lifecycles, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple supply chain and procurement projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, documentation, and status reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and cross‑functional groups to meet project milestones.
• Support procurement tasks such as supplier sourcing, RFP/RFQ preparation, vendor evaluation, and selection.
• Monitor purchasing activities, inventory movement, supplier performance, and project deliverables.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate issues when needed.
• Analyze project data, budgets, and performance metrics using Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and governance processes.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or operations.
• Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end supply chain processes, including supplier coordination, purchasing, logistics, and order tracking.
• Familiarity with procurement processes such as vendor management, sourcing, and competitive bidding (RFP/RFQ).
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, PivotTables, sorting/filtering, reporting).
