Ocean Export and Import Coordinator

About the role

Rhenus is seeking an Ocean Export and Import Coordinator to manage international ocean shipments from booking through delivery. You will act as the central point of contact for customers, agents, and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean export and import shipments, optimizing routes and tracking progress.
• Prepare and process shipping documents such as BOL, AWB, invoices, and EEI.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, costing, quoting, and billing information.
• Communicate shipment status and updates to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with FMC, NVOCC regulations, and INCOTERMS 2020.
• Troubleshoot operational and system‑related issues as they arise.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or transportation, handling international ocean shipments.
• Associate degree, vocational training, or at least two years of college coursework in a related field.
• US export/import compliance training preferred; Ocean DG training a plus.
• Fluent English communication skills; bilingualism is an advantage.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with the MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with the ACE system (preferred).
