People Partner

About the role

Sonatype is looking for a People Partner to support its US business units. The role acts as a trusted advisor to managers, handling employee‑relations cases, translating company‑wide HR programs into local execution, and driving culture and engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end employee‑relations case management for the US, including performance issues, workplace conflicts, investigations and terminations.
• Partner with Legal and HR leadership on high‑risk or complex cases to ensure compliant, timely resolutions.
• Provide real‑time guidance and coaching to managers on performance management and employee issues, building their confidence and capabilities.
• Translate global engagement and culture programs into business‑level actions, identify engagement gaps and implement targeted initiatives.
• Support execution of core HR programs such as performance cycles, compensation processes and engagement surveys.
• Monitor workforce insights and emerging risk patterns to inform proactive HR strategies.

Required profile

• Strong experience in employee relations and HR case management within the United States.
• Ability to act as a strategic partner to managers, offering sound advice and coaching.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify patterns, risks and opportunities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and capable of handling confidential information.
