Planning Lead – Materials & Production Planning

About the role

Yara is seeking a Planning Lead to coordinate material replenishment and production capacity planning for its Cartagena plant in Colombia. The role bridges commercial demand with supply‑chain operations, ensuring timely and sustainable delivery of products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) process across assigned countries.
• Act as the primary liaison between Global Planning, Commercial, and Production teams.
• Maintain accurate feeding of YPOD RP (and DP where applicable) and ensure data consistency between RP and MRP.
• Develop and execute supply plans for packaging materials in line with MRP outputs.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end demand planning (S&OP) through to supply‑chain execution, serving as the S&OP Coordinator.
• Organise supply restriction and executive meetings, providing reliable information.
• Manage MRP execution, monitor inventory day levels, and support supply‑demand balance.
• Prepare supply‑chain reports, KPIs, simulations and trend analyses.
• Facilitate planning committees with commercial stakeholders to align sourcing requirements.
• Allocate materials, production and storage capacity to meet market demand and communicate shipment plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or production engineering, international business, finance or a related field; additional postgraduate training is a plus.
