Principal Software Engineer – Data Architect (AI-Ready Platform)

About the role

Caseware is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of its AI‑Ready Data Platform. This senior technical role will shape the enterprise data architecture that powers cloud offerings, AI capabilities, and secure interoperability with customer systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical strategy for a scalable AI‑Ready data platform, including patterns that make data usable for AI use cases.
• Create and evolve reference architectures, modeling standards, and guardrails such as medallion and lakehouse designs, ingestion pipelines, normalization, and data‑quality frameworks.
• Lead major platform initiatives, including data‑layer re‑architecture, schema modernization, and data‑model evolution across products.
• Mentor development teams, promote best‑practice data‑engineering, and ensure high standards in data modeling, quality, and architecture.
• Collaborate with R&D to implement AI‑ready data contracts, ingestion standards, and secure interoperability.
• Partner with security and product teams on data classification, retention, tenant isolation, and access controls.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience delivering data for AI workflows and familiarity with modern LLM tooling and AI platform integration patterns.
• Proven ability to define enterprise‑wide data architecture and guide cross‑functional teams.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a track record of driving technical vision.
