Procurement Technician – Aviation Procurement

About the role

The Procurement Technician will support Amentum’s aviation operations by managing the acquisition of spare parts, tools, equipment and components. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with FAR, DoD, ITAR and Colombian customs regulations while maintaining accurate purchase records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with FAR and DoD procurement requirements.
• Consult aeronautical catalogs, illustrated parts breakdowns and technical manuals to verify part specifications and pricing.
• Develop Requests for Purchase, quotes‑of‑bid forms, and related documentation for aeronautical material.
• Maintain supplier databases, negotiate prices, and track delivery schedules.
• Audit and manage purchase order records, ensuring compliance with ITAR, U.S. and Colombian customs procedures.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and logistics automation systems to process transactions and generate reports.

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of aviation procurement experience, preferably with exposure to U.S. military procurement.
• Demonstrated ability to work with FAR, DoD, ITAR and customs regulations.
• Strong written English proficiency (FSI Level R/2, S/2).
