About the role
The Project Accountant provides financial support and advisory to the Project Manager, reporting to the Financial Controller. The role covers multiple projects and is budgeted within project overhead costs.
Key responsibilities
- Set up projects in financial systems, including funding, revenue recognition, billing plans and contract overrides.
- Support project pricing, manage change orders, and ensure contractual and client compliance.
- Monitor project financial performance, reconcile labour hours, charges and transactions between BST (Colombia) and Horizon (Canada/US).
- Produce weekly exception reports and coordinate with managers to resolve cross‑system discrepancies.
- Support month‑end close, DSO collection efforts and project close‑out reconciliation.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in project accounting.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience working with multi‑currency, multi‑system environments.
Required skills
- Oracle PPM and Contract Modules.
- Financial systems integration (BST, Horizon).
