Project Engineer – Industrial Vacuum & Pneumatic Systems

About the role

The Project Engineer will provide technical‑commercial support for engineering projects that involve industrial vacuum systems, pneumatic networks, fluid‑handling solutions and customized equipment integration across sectors such as medical, food & beverage, plastics and general manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer technical requirements and translate them into optimized engineering solutions.
• Design and size industrial vacuum, pneumatic, hydraulic and fluid‑handling systems, preparing drawings, P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Develop technical‑commercial quotations, proposals and application recommendations.
• Coordinate project execution with sales, operations, production, service teams and external suppliers.
• Monitor schedules, milestones and deliverables to ensure timely project completion.
• Support installation, commissioning, startup and performance validation of systems.
• Conduct customer visits, site assessments and technical presentations.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, system improvements and new business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Product Design or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering projects, applications engineering or technical sales support.
• English proficiency at B2 level.

Required skills

• Advanced use of SOLIDWORKS.
• Strong knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Industrial Vacuum Systems, Mechanical Design and Industrial Electrical Systems & Controls.
• Experience with vacuum‑system design, compressed‑air systems, industrial ventilation, steam distribution networks, fire‑protection piping, pneumatic and hydraulic network design and flow calculations.
