Project Manager – Bogotá

About the role

Business Sweden is seeking a Project Manager to lead consulting and trade promotion projects that help Swedish and international companies grow across Colombia and Latin America. You will combine strategic advisory work with hands‑on delivery, stakeholder engagement and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver market‑expansion, business‑development and advisory projects across Colombia and the wider region.
• Manage multi‑stakeholder initiatives involving clients, government agencies, industry associations, NGOs and ecosystem partners.
• Drive business‑development activities: client dialogue, opportunity identification, proposal development and sales conversion.
• Act as a trusted advisor by analysing market opportunities, stakeholder landscapes and industry trends.
• Plan and execute government‑financed programmes that support sustainable business growth and development cooperation.
• Collaborate with Swedish public agencies, embassies, development finance institutions and multilateral organisations.
• Lead and coach project teams, support resource planning and contribute to regional service‑offering development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, International Relations or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting or client‑facing business advisory roles.
• Proven track record leading complex, multi‑stakeholder projects and delivering commercial results.
• Extensive professional experience in Colombia with deep knowledge of the local business and institutional environment.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
