Project Manager – EPIC & STRIDES (Colombia)

About the role

The Project Manager will support the Project Director in delivering the EPIC and STRIDES programmes in Colombia. This position provides leadership for both technical implementation and operational management of initiatives that strengthen infectious disease detection systems and expand maternal, newborn and child health services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of EPIC and STRIDES to meet technical, operational, financial and contractual targets.
• Oversee project planning, implementation and performance monitoring to ensure deliverables are on schedule, within budget and compliant with donor requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional teams including technical, finance, procurement and administrative staff.
• Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks and issues, recommending corrective actions to senior leadership.
• Support the Project Director in strategic decision‑making, stakeholder engagement and development of implementation plans.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, partners, clients and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with donor, client, organizational and regulatory standards, including quality assurance and reporting.
• Represent the Project Director in meetings, decision‑making forums and management discussions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing international health or development projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and align technical and operational activities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, stakeholder engagement and team development skills.
• Familiarity with donor‑driven programmes and compliance requirements.
