Project Medical Referent (All Countries)

About the role

The Project Medical Referent will support ALIMA’s medical projects in all countries where the organization operates. The role contributes to ALIMA’s mission to save lives and care for vulnerable populations, working in line with the charter and values of patient‑first, innovation and impartiality. ALIMA, founded in 2009, works in 15 countries with more than 2,000 staff, headquartered in Dakar, Senegal, and has teams in Paris and New York. In 2024 it delivered 59 humanitarian medical response projects and reached 5.9 million beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor medical projects across multiple countries.
• Ensure projects comply with ALIMA’s charter, code of conduct and protection policies.
• Collaborate with field teams, national health authorities and partner NGOs.
• Support the implementation of operational and clinical research related to malnutrition and viral haemorrhagic fevers.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to humanitarian principles and ALIMA’s values.
• Ability to work in diverse cultural contexts and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
