Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager will join the Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) team to ensure construction projects meet client expectations, adhere to safety standards, and are free from defects. This role provides field support to project managers and coordinates with owners, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive quality control plans for each project.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect quality, safety, and compliance with specifications and contract documents.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive safety and quality assurance reports.
• Identify deficiencies, escalate issues, and represent the owner at project meetings.
• Oversee field activities for construction and renovation projects across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with state and university policies, manage project scope and budget, and track owner‑purchased materials.
• Monitor construction schedules, address delays, and coordinate inspections at critical milestones.
• Train contractors on university construction policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in construction quality assurance and control.
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent sites and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and walking extended periods.
• Strong communication skills for representing the owner and collaborating with project teams.
