Refrigeration Reliability Manager – European Operations

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Refrigeration Reliability Manager to ensure its expanding fleet of commercial refrigeration systems across Europe operates at peak performance. You will act as the technical authority, driving standardisation, reliability improvements, and compliance with food‑safety standards while supporting both existing and new equipment deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, launch and scale projects that improve reliability, ergonomics, cost efficiency and resource utilisation across European sites.
• Increase standardisation of refrigeration systems and influence future delivery‑station design.
• Optimise current equipment and processes; guide new equipment from concept through deployment.
• Prepare and present business case reviews and project status reports to senior leadership.
• Develop long‑term road‑maps and implement EU‑validated engineering standards.
• Lead predictive and preventative maintenance programmes to boost safety and equipment availability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Process Improvement, Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Finance, Procurement, Reliability teams and external vendors.

Required profile

• Technical expertise in commercial refrigeration systems operating in a European context.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale reliability or maintenance projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to project sponsors and senior leaders.
• Understanding of food‑safety standards and EU engineering regulations.
