Remote BIM Modeler - Fire Protection & Sprinkler Systems (Revit MEP)

About the role

Cresta connects talent in Latin America with U.S. engineering and construction companies. It is hiring a full-time, 100% remote BIM Modeler / Specialist for fire protection and sprinkler systems (ACI) to work directly with a U.S. client based in New York. The role suits mechanical, civil, sanitary or fire protection engineers in Colombia with hands-on experience in fire protection design and BIM coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and construction-ready shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoSprink.
• Design, model and coordinate fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems for commercial and residential U.S. projects.
• Apply NFPA standards (especially NFPA 13, 14 and 20) to create fully compliant, constructible designs.
• Perform clash detection and spatial coordination with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural disciplines using Navisworks.
• Review plans proactively to spot design conflicts and propose engineering solutions before construction.
• Carry out QA/QC reviews to remove modeling errors and keep project documentation and revisions organized.

Required profile

• Advanced technical and conversational English (B2+ / C1 mandatory).
• 3+ years of experience in fire protection design, fire sprinkler modeling or fire suppression systems.
• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Sanitary Engineering, Architecture or equivalent practical design experience.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA standards and U.S. fire protection practices.
