Remote HR Manager - VA Retention, Performance & Culture

About the role

As the Human Resources Manager at Valatam, you will lead a results‑driven HR function focused on reducing preventable turnover, addressing Virtual Assistant (VA) concerns, and improving the overall VA experience while supporting company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to improve VA retention, monitor KPIs and early warning signs.
• Analyze resignations and turnover causes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and run satisfaction surveys, implement action plans for recurring concerns.
• Lead, coach, and manage the HR team through one‑on‑ones, performance reviews and KPIs.
• Oversee VA performance issues, client feedback, and Performance Improvement Plans.
• Ensure timely resolution of VA complaints and requests.
• Prepare HR reports with actionable insights and align strategies with company goals.
• Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and handle disciplinary matters.
• Manage VA onboarding/offboarding, HR records, and compensation/benefits administration.
• Lead VA engagement, recognition, culture, and volunteering initiatives.
• Optimize HR processes, tools and workflows, identifying automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Fluent in English (C1/C2) with 3‑5 years of HR/People Management experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in Staffing, BPO or Outsourcing industry preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, HR, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to translate HR data into retention initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead teams, set KPIs and achieve measurable results.
• Experience managing employee satisfaction, retention, PIPs and conflict resolution.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
