Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager (U.S. GAAP)

About the role

GME seeks a highly capable Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to own the full accounting function for its U.S.-based e‑commerce business. This is a strategic role that goes beyond bookkeeping, requiring deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, and e‑commerce financial flows.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for the Affiliate Company in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and own the month‑end close process.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, COGS, and reconcile Shopify sales, payment processors, refunds and discounts.
• Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals and depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate payroll accounting, vendor invoice processing, purchasing controls and inventory receipts.
• Support U.S. sales‑tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Develop and improve accounting procedures, internal controls and profitability reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a full accounting function.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and e‑commerce accounting.
• Professional‑level English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate with U.S. executives.
