Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior Accountant to join Howard Financial’s fast‑growing back‑office team. The role supports multiple hospitality clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month‑end closes and strong internal controls in a client‑facing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing P&L and balance sheet statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and optimize the process as client volume increases.
• Manage journal entries, financial reporting and account reconciliations across multiple properties or client accounts.
• Integrate and operate hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and client service.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle accounting and internal controls.
• Self‑starter with high accountability and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
