Senior Accountant – Remote, FinTech Marketplace

About the role

We are a growth‑financing marketplace helping small businesses access capital and financial management services. We seek a Senior Accountant to lead comprehensive accounting operations for multiple client entities, delivering accurate reporting and high‑quality client service in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books for multiple clients, including daily reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Manage full AP/AR cycles and ensure organized financial record‑keeping.
• Prepare and review client‑ready monthly financial statements.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve complex accounting discrepancies, ensuring data integrity.
• Handle multi‑entity accounting cases, propose adjustments, and leverage AI tools to streamline workflows.
• Adapt quickly to new technology platforms, integrations, and AI‑powered accounting solutions.
• Support process improvement and system optimization initiatives.
• Provide clear financial insights and act as a trusted advisor for client decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Tax and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless data flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of U.S. GAAP accounting experience, including multi‑entity and complex structures.
• Strong client‑facing communication and presentation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, accountable, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working in an AI‑driven, technology‑first environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with modern accounting tech stacks (APIs, integrations, data analysis tools).
• Proficiency with AI tools and automation platforms for accounting workflows.
