Senior Analyst, Risk Management

About the role

The Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) is the operational service center for internal corporate functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Law, Franchise and Integrity. Its Risk Management Senior Analyst position sits within the shared services organization and reports to the GBSC Risk Manager. The role supports the establishment and evolution of an operational risk management program, helping identify, assess and mitigate risks arising from inadequate or failed processes, people, systems or external events while balancing risk mitigation with efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a risk management process leader for the GBSC risk management team.
• Assist management in identifying and mitigating compliance risks, strengthening compliance monitoring and fostering a compliance culture.
• Work with control owners to identify control gaps and develop remediation plans that meet regulatory and policy requirements.
• Collaborate with operations teams to develop risk reporting, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and ongoing monitoring and testing.
• Maintain the risk register, heat map, audit schedules, action items and risk response plans.
• Conduct incident reporting and root cause analysis.
• Help prepare reports, metrics and presentations for meetings with stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Support and coordinate activities from internal and external audit, technology risk management, SOX and enterprise risk management teams.
• Maintain GBSC risk management tools and resources, and contribute AI-based preventative and detective controls.

Required profile

• Familiarity with payroll and the People & Capability (HR) space.
• Risk management experience, including audit, operational risk or similar functions, and knowledge of ERM, ORM and TRM.
• Experience with the three lines of defense model and understanding of compliance and risk frameworks.
• Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with strong written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and on several projects at once; flexibility and self-motivation.
• Preferred: audit, risk management, compliance, continuous improvement, Lean or Six Sigma background.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), with advanced Excel data analysis and Visio flow charts.
• Tableau, Alteryx and statistical analysis experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of documenting control activities, test procedures and validation execution.
