Senior Android Engineer

About the role

Coforge is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications. The role focuses on leveraging modern Kotlin‑based practices and delivering scalable, performant mobile solutions for a remote team based in Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Implement scalable and maintainable mobile solutions with Jetpack Compose and Clean Architecture, ensuring strict separation of Data, Domain, and Presentation layers.
• Develop asynchronous and responsive features using Kotlin Coroutines and Structured Concurrency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize performance, maintain code quality, and promote mobile engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Kotlin and modern Android toolsets.
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate across engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
