Senior BIM Designer

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior BIM Designer to join its Water‑Wastewater group in Bogotá. The role focuses on preparing contract drawings from survey to tender and building 3D models of wet and dry utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D/3D civil engineering drawings and models using Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Prepare plan and profile drawings, sections and standard details.
• Coordinate with designers and project managers.
• Interpret design mark‑ups and as‑built documents.
• Produce 3D models of pressure and gravity utility networks.
• Follow municipal design guidelines and CAD standards.
• Mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in a civil‑engineering related field.
• 10+ years of experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation and InRoads for water mains, sewers and dry utilities.
• Expert knowledge of municipal engineering concepts.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Autodesk Forma and Bluebeam Studio.
• Familiarity with Navisworks, Revit, GIS and ISO 19650 standards.
• Experience handling multiple CAD standards and multitasking.
• Experience with Dynamo and Open Roads Designer is an asset.
