Senior Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Logistics Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring seamless transportation execution and proactive issue resolution. This role combines customer relationship management with hands‑on coordination of domestic shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Act as day‑to‑day liaison for customers, building trusted relationships through proactive communication.
• Handle escalations and resolve transportation issues quickly, identifying risks before they impact service.
• Coordinate domestic TL, LTL, and drayage shipments, procuring carrier capacity and negotiating market rates.
• Manage daily load boards, assign carriers, monitor tracking, and resolve exceptions.
• Oversee accessorials, ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Support teammates with complex shipments, workload balancing, and onboarding of new staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships with truckload carriers, dispatchers, drayage partners, and railroad service teams.
• Participate in carrier meetings, RFQs, lane development, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in domestic transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of truckload and LTL transportation; drayage or intermodal experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and load board platforms.
