Senior Power & Utility Engineer

About the role

The Senior Power & Utility Engineer provides critical support to all organisational sections, ensuring uninterrupted operations while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. The role combines planning, execution, and continuous improvement of facility systems and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee preventive maintenance for electrical power systems (transformers, switchgears, distribution boards, standby gensets), compressors, boilers, HVAC, chillers and fire‑protection systems.
• Conduct daily facility inspections, report irregularities, and ensure compliance with local legal requirements and OSH standards.
• Coordinate with Safety & Health, Production and other departments for shutdowns, testing, and emergency power isolation.
• Manage contractors to enforce environmental, health and safety policies on site.
• Monitor energy usage, propose and implement energy‑saving projects, and prepare budgets for maintenance and upgrades.
• Maintain and forecast critical spare parts, improve equipment reliability, and participate in Kaizen activities.
• Provide regular status updates and reports to management; act as senior engineer in the absence of the supervisor.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineering professional with proven experience in power and utility facility management.
• Strong ability to manage projects and tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with local regulations (DOSH, DOE, Bomba, ST Acts) and industry codes of practice.
• Excellent analytical skills for performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
