Senior Project Planner - Construction Projects (Talent Pool)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior Project Planner for construction projects. The role leads the development and maintenance of the project master schedule in Oracle Primavera P6, working closely with stakeholders on the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the project basis of schedule and the master schedule for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Apply resource loading to establish optimal crew and staffing plans.
• Calculate and manage Earned Value KPIs and progress tracking with S-curves, and learn the owner's scheduling specifications and processes.
• Coordinate progress tracking with the general contractor and stakeholders for all milestones, and ensure schedule activities are coded by the work breakdown structure and linked to control systems.
• Facilitate interactive planning sessions with discipline leads, vendors and client inputs, establish the critical path and incorporate scope changes and trends.
• Analyse impacts and deviations, propose mitigation measures and provide weekly, bi-weekly and monthly plan versus actual reports to the client.
• Comply with owner policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in project controls, planning and scheduling.
• Degree or professional license in architectural, civil, electrical or production engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Experience with large-scale or mission-critical projects in a consulting engineering capacity.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise and work independently as well as with diverse groups.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6.
• Engineering, procurement and construction scheduler experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
