Senior Security Engineer

About the role

EPAM is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to protect its systems, data, and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. You will work with multinational teams, embed security into development pipelines, and continuously improve security processes and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Triage security requests, manage ingestion queues, and ensure timely issue handling.
• Design, review, and audit automation scripts (Python) to streamline IAM processes.
• Define, manage, and enforce access permissions based on least‑privilege and separation‑of‑duties principles.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor security metrics, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and development teams to embed security into CI/CD workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or a similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑team environment.

Required skills

• Python scripting for automation.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP.
