Senior Security Software Developer (AI‑First)

About the role

Caseware is seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead technical initiatives across its cloud platform and legacy Windows codebase. This AI‑first position expects you to use agentic‑AI tools as the primary way of delivering high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prototype architecture that delivers near‑term business value while aligning with long‑term product vision.
• Lead architecture reviews, RFCs, and hands‑on delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
• Break large initiatives into parallel, incremental work streams and champion automation to eliminate manual toil.
• Own security posture, CVE remediation, and applied‑cryptography patterns for both cloud services and native Windows components.
• Mentor developers on AI‑augmented development, design reviews, and best practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with impact beyond a single team.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed, cloud‑native SaaS platforms at scale, preferably on AWS.
• Strong software fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, SOLID) and a track record of advocating code quality.
• Experience with agentic‑AI development practices and mentoring other engineers.

Required skills

• Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Gateway)
• AWS services (S3, Secrets Manager, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, EKS, DocumentDB, CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio)
• Testing and observability tools (JUnit, New Relic)
• Legacy Windows development (C++.NET Framework, MSBuild) or willingness to acquire it
