Senior SEO Strategist – AEO & GEO (AI Search)

About the role

A client of TESO, a creative content studio known for video and visual storytelling, is hiring a full-time, remote Senior SEO Strategist focused on AI-powered search (AEO/GEO) alongside traditional SEO. The role owns the company's end-to-end search visibility strategy and has the chance to help build and potentially lead a function as the practice grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own the company's end-to-end search visibility strategy, combining traditional SEO with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
• Audit and rebuild how the brand and its clients appear in both classic search engines and AI answer engines.
• Design and run content, technical and structural strategies that improve visibility, citations and share-of-voice in AI-generated answers.
• Replace and consolidate the work of two external vendors into one coherent, owned strategy.
• Work directly with leadership and the creative team to align search strategy with the company's content and brand positioning.
• Define and track KPIs for organic visibility, AI citation share and traffic/lead impact.
• Help build and possibly lead the function as it grows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with some exposure to AI search, AEO/GEO, llm.txt or structured data for AI retrieval.
• Advanced English (C1/C2), as all internal and client communication is in English.
• Proven track record of improving organic visibility and delivering measurable business results for brands or agency clients.
• Experience working directly with content, creative or marketing teams.
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable with SEO/analytics tools and defining KPIs from scratch.
• Fluent in, or very ahead of, AEO/GEO and how AI search engines retrieve and cite content.
• Comfortable owning a function end-to-end, working autonomously in a lean, senior team and reporting directly to leadership.
