Senior Software Developer III

About the role

Caseware is seeking a Senior Software Developer III to act as a technical leader within the engineering team. The role involves shaping architecture, mentoring developers, and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver business value, while leveraging AI‑augmented development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals aligned with product vision and future‑state platform.
• Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, and hands‑on collaboration.
• Break down large initiatives into incremental, parallelizable work and champion them through the full SDLC.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, core product builds, and overall software development lifecycle.
• Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response for production systems.
• Mentor developers, lead AI‑assisted development practices, and establish safe AI tooling guardrails.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with impact beyond a single team.
• Strong background in designing and operating distributed, cloud‑native SaaS platforms, preferably on AWS.
• Experience with agentic‑AI development practices and mentoring other engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 level or higher).

Required skills

• Node.js / TypeScript
• AWS services (Lambda, Bedrock, AgentCore Gateway)
• Design of multi‑tenant APIs (REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI)
• CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and persistent‑connection architectures
